Eat’n’Mess Cafe: Gluten Free Review

If you are gluten free I am sure you have heard of  Eat’n’Mess and their epic stall at Broadway Market, filled with gluten free cookies, brownies and more! But they don’t just have a stall in London, they also own a Cafe in Sevenoaks, Kent! Using the power of Google maps I worked out the Cafe was only a 35 minutes drive from my house, so I bundled up Mr FFL and Mini FFL into my car and took a drive into Kent (the cafe is only a 5 minute drive from junction 5 of the M25).

The Eat’n’Mess cafe is one end of Sevenoaks high street, opposite a large Marks and Spencers.  The front of the cafe is very cute and the theme follows inside the cafe.  There are around 5-6 tables inside the cafe, but in September (2018) the cafe is actually being extended, so I think will be double the size.

The cafe offers breakfast, brunch and lunch, with sweet and savoury options.  All items apart from the soup are gluten free (sourdough toast can be subsititued for gluten free toast), and there are also some dairy free items on the menu.

I went for a gluten free toastie, with posh ham and cheese (minus the pesto to make it low fodmap) and then followed my toastie with a gluten free cake pop!

I also bought some gluten free dark chocolate and orange cookies to go.  I also had a iced almond milk mocha to wash it all down with.

Mr FFL and Mini FFL both had toasties too and thorughly enjoyed their sourdough bread.  I must admit I had major FOMO, as the bread looked amazing!

The Eat’n’Mess Cafe has such a great selection for gluten free and low fodmappers, and they really do cater for all diets.

I have already organised a trip back, so will definitley be trying the berry gluten free pancakes next time!
