NoGlu, New York: Lunch Review

Whilst on holiday in New York I had to visit Noglu on the Upper East side of Manhattan, as I heard so many good reviews!

On our second full day in New York we decided to head up towards the Guggenheim and Central Park. Our lunch stop would be Noglu.

The window was full of lovely cakes and pastries, and they were all gluten free!!

I decided on the Salami and Mozzarella mini baguette, which they can toast for you so the cheese melts perfectly.

I also chose a Chocolate Fondant for pudding.

My boyfriend had the Crock Monsieur for main and a Lemon Meringue for pudding.

My sandwich was amazing – it’s the first time in a long time I have been able to have a toasted sandwich, whilst being out and about. I’m sure other gluten free readers will understand! The mozzarella melted so perfectly and tasted great.

The chocolate fondant was rich and delicious. The centre tasted amazing!

Jon’s Crock Monsieur looked and tasted great – the only issue was the bread did fall apart very easily, which I know is often the issue with gluten free bread. The Lemon Meringue had a great lemon curd inside which matched well with the sweet meringue.

I would definitely recommend a visit when in New York. They even do a brunch menu at the weekend too, with gluten free pancakes!!

Noglu is situated at 1266 Madison Avenue.
