I love that so many places are now supplying gluten free bread for brunch and lunch, especially in London. It makes me feel less odd when eating with gluten full friends/family. It also means I do not have to have a naked dish and can actually fill up on carbs.
Local Hero is one place I found which supply gluten free bread and also happen to have a great brunch menu! I met my friend Charlie at the Fulham branch, so we could sample the food and have a catch up.
I was blown away by the choice on the brunch menu, so many options! I went with the Smoked Salmon and Avocado on Gluten Free Bread.
This dish was cream cheese, avo, sun blushed tomatoes, rocket, toasted sesame seeds and chilli flakes. So many delicious flavours. I removed the lemon dressing as I wasn’t sure if it was low fodmap.
Local Hero also have an amazing selection of cakes, and at least half were gluten free. Many were vegan and dairy free also, so a selection for everyone.
I had to choose one, so I treated myself to an orange and almond cake, with chocolate chips in it. It was as good as it sounds.
