Lola’s Bakery is based in West Hampstead in North London, and is owned by the same company that is Lola’s Cupcakes, which you can buy all around the country. Lola’s Cupcakes do offer gluten free and vegan cupcakes at all their stores and stalls.
But let’s get back to the reason you are all here, to find out about Lola’s Bakery. Lola’s created the bakery and all day cafe to specialise in healthy, organic and free-from food and baked goods.
When I entered the cafe, my first site was of a huge array of gluten free cakes and goodies – it really was a feast for the eyes! Unfortunately you cannot book a table to Lola’s and even though I went on a week day, it was still pretty busy. I managed to get a spot at the bar looking out into Hampstead, so I could people watch whilst enjoying some culinary delights.
There was no doubt in my mind that I would have a cake (especially as it was my birthday week too), so I decided on a classic savoury brunch dish, smoked salmon and poached eggs, on gluten free bread. Lola’s Bakery actually make their own gluten free white bread which you can buy to take home, which is also vegan and nut free.
I think everything on the menu can be made gluten free apart from the cinnamon french toast, which leaves a plethera of options!
I then had an almond milk mocha with a gluten free cinnamon bun, which were both delicious. I will definitley be coming back here to try more of the menu and more of the cakes!!!
Great readd thankyou
