Byron Burger: Gluten Free Bun Review

Before I was on the low Fodmap diet, I think my favourite place for a burger was Byron – it may have also have been because of their out of this world, Oreo milkshake.  For the past four years I have been hoping that Byron introduce a gluten free bun for us all and now my prayers have been answered!

Earlier this year Bryon created a new menu which includes a vegan burger and also a gluten free bun!

I contacted Bryon Head Quarters to talk to them about the low fodmap aspect of my diet.  They confirmed that the beef patties were just beef, and a pinch of salt and pepper! Delicious! They also confirmed the fries and sweet potato fries are gluten free. Bryon kindly sent me a gift voucher, so I could go and experience their new gluten free bun.

I managed to tie in my Byron taste test with a shopping trip to Bluewater, so it was win win for me!

After a few hours of shopping, Mr FFL and I headed over to Byron to refuel.  I didn’t have a starter as I wanted to make sure I had room for my main.  I chose the bacon double cheese burger with gluten free bun and gluten free fries.

I cannot speak highly enough about Bryon’s gluten free bun (GBK have a lot to learn!).  The bun does not fall apart and tastes great! It has a brioche feel to it.  The burger, bacon and cheese tasted as good as I remembered.  Bryon is now a winner for anyone on a gluten free or low fodmap diet.  The fries were also good and just made my Saturday night dinner whole.

I would like to thank Bryon Burger for giving me the opportunity to try their new gluten free bun.  If you ever need me, I will now be living in a Bryon, eating all the burgers and fries!
