Fodmapped For You: Fodmap Product Review

Low fodmap ready made food I hear you say?! Too be good to be true?

Let’s find out more……

If you are not on the fodmap diet, I think my readers will now understand, eating a varied and flavoursome diet can be quite difficult.

So when Fodmapeasy contacted me to try some ‘Fodmapped’ products, I jumped at the opportunity.

I was sent a pack of Butter Chicken Curry sauce and a pack of Pumpkin Soup.

All the ‘Fodmapped’ products are certified low fodmap.  Fodmapped is the world’s first dedicated low fodmap brand, producing food products specifically designed for people on a low Fodmap diet, those living with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and other gastrointestinal diseases. Fodmapped is an Australian owned and operated company and now Fodmapeasy are selling the products here in the UK too.

All their products are made from real ingredients and the whole range is 100% free from gluten, onions and garlic but still rich in flavour and most importantly safe for sufferers of IBS. I don’t think I could have found a more perfect brand!!

Also every product is certified with the fodmap Friendly logo (the only registered certification worldwide that identifies the fodmap levels of packaged food) and have each been independently lab tested by a certified laboratory.

Now let’s get on to the good stuff…….. the food!  The first pack I tried was the Butter Chicken curry sauce.

I created quite a simple dish for my first foray into the Fodmapped product range. I fried diced chicken breasts in a pan and then added the Butter Chicken Curry sauce. I wanted to ensure I didn’t mask the flavour of the sauce in any way. I added in some spinach and peas to add in some nutrients.

The second product I received was the low fodmap pumpkin soup. I think I mentioned in a previous blog post, pre-fodmap, I would often have a bowl of soup in the winter on a week night, as a quick, comforting and warming dinner. Since fodmap I haven’t had the opportunity to do this as most soups have onion or garlic in (or gluten).

I served my pumpkin soup with some nice Warburtons Gluten Free bread.

I think the Fodmapped range is tasty and really handy for us fodmapers (or anyone else as even Mr FFL enjoyed the flavours)!

Fodmapeasy have started selling the Fodmapped products on their website from 27th November 2017. So for more information visit their Instagram page or website.
